What a mess! Pumpkin seeds and pumpkin mess everywhere, wet paper towels, slimy desks! You call this a proper lesson?! We did!
On Tuesday, our classroom became a teacher’s brew of CREATIVE mess and magic in one, and we learned a lot: Words! So many new words: Pumpkin patch, Jack-o-Lantern, cemetery, and ghost!
We also learned how to carve pumpkins, found out about the origins of Halloween and discovered who Stingy Jack of the Jack-o-Lantern was. The girls brought brownies (thank you, Johanna) and muffins (thank you, Amelie) and all of us chipped in to make the party a success! How do you like our Jack-o-Lanterns?
